Ride & Grind – Ethiopia Korate Coffee Beans (250g)
Embark on a sensory journey to the lush highlands of Shakisso, Guji, Ethiopia, with Ride & Grind’s Ethiopia Korate. This exceptional single-origin coffee is crafted from heirloom varietals—74110, 74112, and other indigenous strains—cultivated under the shade of native trees like Cordia Africana, Acacia, and Albizzia. Grown at elevations exceeding 2,000 meters, these beans benefit from the region’s fertile volcanic red soil and deep sandy loam, contributing to their distinctive flavour profile.
Flavour Profile
Delight in a cup bursting with vibrant notes of dark chocolate, rhubarb, and dark berries. This naturally processed coffee offers a very fruity experience, with a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity that captivates the palate.
Roasting & Origins
Each batch is meticulously roasted in Edinburgh on a handcrafted roaster, reflecting Ride & Grind’s dedication to quality and flavour. The beans are sourced from Buno Coffee Trading, a small exporter managing seven washing stations in the Guji region. Buno collaborates with farmers owning 8–15 hectares of land, ensuring quality improvements and the production of single-producer micro-lots. Their commitment includes paying farmers a premium for fully ripened cherries and providing interest-free credit lines during the off-season.
Versatile Brewing
Ethiopia Korate’s complex profile shines across various brewing methods, including AeroPress, cafetière, espresso, pour over, stovetop, or as whole beans.
Distinctive Packaging
Presented in a reusable tin inspired by vintage motor oil cans, Ethiopia Korate embodies Ride & Grind’s fusion of coffee craftsmanship and motorcycle culture.
Experience the essence of Ethiopian coffee tradition with Ethiopia Korate—a brew that delivers both depth and vibrancy in every sip.
