Japanese cars from legendary JDM icons to modern performance heroes, Japanese Day returns to The Motorist for a celebration of one of the most exciting automotive cultures in the world.
Japanese cars have earned a reputation unlike any other. Built for the road, the track and everything in between, they’ve inspired generations of enthusiasts with their reliability, performance and unmistakable style. Whether you’re a lifelong JDM fan or simply enjoy seeing incredible machinery up close, this is a day you won’t want to miss.
Expect an outstanding display featuring everything from Nissan GT-Rs, Skylines and Fairladys to Honda Civic Type Rs, Integras, S2000s and NSXs, alongside Toyota Supras, GR Yaris, GT86s, Celicas, Mazda RX-7s, RX-8s and MX-5s, plus Subaru Imprezas, Mitsubishi Evolutions and countless other Japanese cars. From beautifully restored classics to tastefully modified street builds and modern performance cars, every corner of the site will have something worth stopping to admire.
One of the best parts of Japanese Day is the community. Owners travel from across the region to share their pride and joy, swap stories, catch up with friends and welcome newcomers into the scene. Whether your car is completely standard, heavily modified or somewhere in between, it’s the shared passion that brings everyone together.
Throughout the day you’ll find dedicated club displays, individual owners, specialist businesses and some truly unique builds, making it one of the most colourful and diverse events on The Motorist calendar.
When you’ve finished exploring the cars, head into the Drivers Lounge for breakfast, lunch or a fresh coffee, browse our retail store or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Japanese Day is as much about the people as it is the cars, making it the perfect excuse for a drive out and a great day with fellow enthusiasts.
Free to attend. No booking required. Simply arrive, park up and enjoy the day.
